Overview
VP Associates is a Tampa Bay-based structural engineering firm with over 30 years of experience, serving Florida's commercial, industrial, marine, and residential construction sectors. This project involved rebuilding their corporate website from a legacy WordPress site into a modern, high-performance Nuxt 3 application. The new site features a clean professional design with a full service catalog (steel design, concrete, masonry, foundations, seawalls), a filterable project portfolio, team member profiles, a careers section, and a contact system integrated with the Resend API. Content management remains in WordPress as a headless CMS, with the frontend consuming the WordPress REST API via Nuxt's server-side data fetching with caching and static fallbacks. The site achieves strong performance through hybrid rendering, responsive WebP image optimization, and PWA support for offline access. Accessibility was a priority, targeting WCAG 2.1 AA compliance throughout.
